Pattern Validation

Edit Line: You can edit only one line at a time.
Append Line: Appends a single line to the table.
Paste: This paste (append) the data from the clipboard into the table.
Remove line(s): Select on or more lines to remove them from the table.
Load from file: Load a complete file to the table. Please note: All existing lines will be remove!
Append from file: This will load and append a complete file into the table. Please note: The existing lines will not be removed! The new data will be appended to the table.
Save to file: This will save the table content to a text file.
Pattern Input field: Enter your pattern here. The pattern input field has syntax highlighting for 'groups'.
Pattern Example: If you have added some text to the table and you would like to get an example pattern for a certain line, you can do the following:
  • Select the "Pattern Example" function from the context menu (right-click on the selected line)
  • or press ALT+Click on the appropriate table line at the same time.
    Validation Status: The validation status indicates if the line matches with provided pattern in the Pattern Input field.
    Result Area: If your pattern contains one or more variables and you click on any matched line, all extracted variables will be displayed.
